When a dream comes true

(My first art show)

I played with the thought of having an art show for some time and I knew I need to have enough drawings to exhibit. However, how many is enough? Well, I played with the numbers of between 14 to 21 and ended up with 16 :-) It took me 5 years to collect or rather to draw pictures for myself (normally pictures I draw are gifted to someone). Once I reached the number 16 I said to myself that's it, it's time to have the show!

 Now comes the part where you think "but where?". I couldn't think of a better place than zive ateliery, as that is the place where I have been attending art courses since 2010, and where I've discovered the hidden appeal of pencils :-)

It all started on August 15th at 6pm. I had all my 16 drawings for display, refreshment was ready and friends and family started coming in. Aaawww the atmosphere was indescribable. People were talking to each other, looking at art, talking to me, eating, drinking and simply having fun. I made sure that not even 1 person would be there that didn’t know anyone. I didn't want anyone to feel left out, and I think that helped to create the atmosphere as well.

So is it possible for your dreams to come true? Definitely. Believe in yourself and the hard work you put into pursuing your goals. Success will arrive, just don't forget to celebrate it, simply by pausing and praising yourself for achieving it. Otherwise you will never be satisfied with yourself.

 I need to thank Barus for creating the invite, Kubik for taking amazing pictures, my awesome husband who did the baking and was taking care of the refreshment and supported me all along :-* I also want to express my gratitude to Janka Pagacova for allowing me to use the premises at zive ateliery and being open to hosting my art show. Last but not least, thanks to all the guests for coming to see my show and spending the 3 hours with me :-)
